Lily Williamson '19 Recruiting Profile

I have played golf for as long as I can remember. It first started when my grandpa and cousins invited me out to play with them and I have been in love with the game ever since.  It has become my stress reliever over the years and with that I have wanted to be as involved in golf as I can be.  I began to help the golf coaches with the Junior High team. Coaching made me more aware of what I was actually doing when I play. The kids would ask questions that made me look at techniques from other perspectives that they would understand without complicating things too much. Through coaching the Junior High team and managing the High School Boys team, it has also taught me patience and how to take on a leadership role when need be. My communication skills have also become stronger due to the planning and layout of the overall season and practice sessions that occurred. Golf is my life and I want to continue helping as well as playing for as long as I possibly can.
