Personal Statement
I am 5'7" and I weigh 135 pounds. I have never really tested my driver to find an "average" length for it, but on a 450 yard par four that was straight away and there was no wind I was on the back fring in two. My freshman year I was the number one golfer on the team after our first meet, and was individual champion at our district meet. I also was low score going into state that year with a 79.
I am known for being coachable, and I am willing to try new things if it is going to make me a better player. I get along well with my teamates and with my playing partners. When I am working on something new I will stay and work at it till I get it down.
Personally, I do not have a preference as of where school is. I am not one to get homesick. I have gone through moving from a small school that I attended from Jr. High till my sophomore year. My graduating class there would have been around 48 students. I now attend a school where my graduating class will be around 250 students. It may not seem like a lot but to me it is and I am fine with going to a school much bigger than what I am used to and I am also fine with smaller schools. My school now is five hours away from where I used to live, so I do not mind traveling.
As of right now I am wanting to major in Nursing. School is very important to me and I think that grades are just as important if not more important as being good at sports. I am an A student, and I always try to do my best in school. That is one of my goals, that I keep my grades up. As for golf in college I would like to be able to compete as best as I can. I want to be able to play early as well. Golf has taught me that I need to be able to work as hard as I possibly can because it is a sport that you can not just decided that you want to play one day and all of the sudden be good at. You have to work for it. It is a perfect way to show how to live life, that you are going to have to work for what you want.
