December 2016Personal Statement
Ever since I can remember it has been my ultimate goal to go to college for golf. Golf is a sport I have taken seriously for a long time now and I plan on continuing this attitude to achieve my goal. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a very goal oriented person, I have experience in leadership, and I am a fast learner. Golf is a very mental sport; you not only have to be strong physically, but mentally too. I always do my best to lift my teammates spirits and to motivate them to do better if they have had a bad day on the course. I am different from other recruits because I have been the number one and MVP on my team all three years of my high school career. My junior year I was nominated team captain by my coach and teammates. To me this showed that I am someone who my team looks up to and wants to lead them. Academically I plan on making my GPA better so I can obtain a necessary education I will need in the future, show you the intelligence of my character, and open up my options for colleges. Golf is a very important part of my life, and I strive to become better and smarter out on the course in order to achieve my ultimate goal.

- I have been training in golf for 9 years with my swing coach. I first started with clinics, then began private lessons. As for strength training, I trained for 3 years with a program called Omni Kinetics. We worked on strengthening muscles specifically for golf, and used certain exersises to increase/improve speed and agility.

- I danced competatively for 10 years with Big City Dance Center in Wixom Michigan. We were very successful as a team. During my last year, one of my dances was undefeated; not only did we win nationals, but we won worlds as well.
