Ever since I can remember I have been playing golf with my dad in Joplin or on family trips. I grew to really enjoy the game after playing tournaments in our area and have excelled on my high school team as a varsity member since my freshman year. As the number 2 player my freshman year our team tied for 3rd place at State in 2014. In 2015 five seniors graduated. We have been rebuilding the team and as the captain I have enjoyed watching the other girls and myself get better each season. I am a great student and have a lot of interests that make me a well rounded player. I love golf because it is both an individual and team sport. I love doing my best to benefit the team and being part of a team that strives to do their best and work hard. My coach is a great mentor and I have learned so much about golf and myself from being part of the Joplin High School Team. I really want to continue playing golf in college. I'm excited to find the right fit for me academically as well as allowing me to be part of a golf team and continuing to grow as a player.
