Recruit me:
My name is Ashlyn Sanders. I’m a junior at Holt High School in Wentzville, MO.
I want to pursue an Elementary Education Degree with a Master’s in counselling. My dad, a former PGA Professional and golf course owner, taught me how to play golf at the end of my 7th grade and I’ve been playing ever since. Currently in school, I’m on the Holt High School Varsity golf team since my freshman year the Educator’s Rising club and the A+ Program.
My strength is my distance. My natural swing instills the ball flight of right to left. Right now, my 7 iron carries 145 yds and my driver is 225-230.
My weakness is ½ & ¾ shots. That can be addressed and improved with more specific drills & playing time/experience.
Junior PGA:
My first four years of golf, I competed in the Gateway Section of the PGA Junior events. The links below are the yearlong points standing results:

Summer of 16’ ~ 96.62 (18 holes)
Summer of 17’ ~ 91.33 (18 holes)
Summer of 18’ ~ 87.38 (18 holes)
Stroke Average in High School:
9-hole stroke averages:
Freshman: 46.9
Sophomore 43.6
Junior 42.2
Freshman-Junior years at Holt:
3 years all-conference selection
3 years all-academic team
3 years Sectional qualifier
2 years all-district team
1-year state qualifier** (I technically qualified my sophomore year also with an 88 but, I signed for a higher score on the last hole and had to take an 89, tough lesson learned)
My ideal college situation would be to play in a true team setting where I am pushed to be better. At Holt, I’ve been the #1 player since the start of my freshman year, and in practices I wasn’t getting pushed to get better. In college, I would also love to have a close team dynamic with strong school spirit.
