Personal Statement
My name is Kaitlyn Maready and I am a junior at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, NC. For the past two years, I have played on the school's varsity golf team where I earned all conference both years and undefeated Player of the Year last year. I have attended the 3A Regional and States Championships both years and plan to again this season. Also, I have competed in several tournaments outside of high school golf, including Peggy Kirk Bell and Carolina Golf Association events and other local tournaments. I am dedicated to continually improving my game through practice and competition. Additionally, I aspire to continue to play golf in college. Aside of playing golf, I am an involved student at my school. My club participation includes being an active member of Interact, Health Occupations Students of America and Health Science Academy. During the summer, I also volunteer at Onslow Memorial Hospital as a "Volunteen". And I'm a contributing member of my local church youth group. Obviously, my career goals involve working in the medical field in some capacity. I challenge myself academically by taking honors, AP and IB classes when they are available to prepare me for the college courses that I will need to take later to allow me to achieve my career goals. Once again, I am dedicated to working hard in the classroom, staying involved in extra curricular activities and continually improving my game to be the best I can be.
