My name is Megan Broscritto. I currently attend Farmingdale High School in New York. In the past I have been a multi-sport athlete including a gymnastics State Championship Title and several softball All-Stars games as well as playing for my towns travel team. After playing these sports it became clear to me that I was most passionate about golf, which had previously been only a hobby. My freshman year I attended Kellenberg Memorial HS, a catholic college prep school where I played for their Girls Varsity Golf Team. As shown on my transcript my freshman year grade point average was much lower than my sophomore year. This is because all of the courses I took at Kellenberg would have been AP courses at my current school, and they were not weighted. The work was much harder there, however I did make Honor Roll for every trimester. Later on I decided to return to my home public school and play golf there. However my school does not have a girls team so I currently play with the Boys Varsity Golf team from the White (middle) Tees at Bethpage State park including yardages of 6000+ yards, on courses such as the Yellow, Blue and Green. It is a goal of mine to find a school that is academically exceptional but also to be apart of its competitive golf program. Over the summer I participate in tournaments associated with the Metropolitan Junior PGA tour. In my off season I continue to work on my game through indoor lessons at the PGA Superstore in Garden City NY. I am determined to improve my game as well as grow both inside and outside of the classroom during the rest of my high school career and into college. I look forward to excelling in my education and being a supportive and positive teammate
