As a Military child I learned the values of hard work and resiliency at a young age. I started playing golf with my dad at a young age and am passionate about the game. I find that it challenges me to focus on details but also makes me feel happy and connected with my family. My high school does not have a large golf program so I was fortunate to win 1st team All-Conference and get invited to the the State Championship as a Freshman. I know I can do better individually and I know that my High School team can grow. I want to use this past year to set my goals for next year and to encourage others to join and excel on the girls golf team.
I want to become a well rounded individual and leader and I believe that competition builds character. In addition to golf, I swim and play Lacrosse. I also compete with HOSA and Key Club as well as participate with Young Life and Youth Choir / Steps of Faith. I am a natural leader and demonstrate that by taking higher roles of responsibility in clubs and sports. I am excited to continue growing as a person. In College I want to focus on health studies / medicine while also continuing to play a sport that I love. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically but also give me the opportunity to grow as a person. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character to make an immediate impact on your program.
