Personal Statement
I am a highly motivated individual. I strive to be the best at whatever I do, and put forth my full effort to reach that goal. I have been in sports since I was 5 playing softball and doing competitive cheer. Throughout grade school and middle school I played basketball, volleyball, and softball. I ran track and continued to compete competitvely in cheer on as many as four teams at a time. I gave every team my full effort.
In Middle School I was a good student and very active in the school. I competed in the Art Fair every year and won 1st or 2nd place every year. In 6th Grade I won second place over all at the County Science Fair. My project was over comparing 100% gasoline to 10% Ethanol blend gasoline. In the 7th Grade I won first place at my school for the science fair. My project was over eating disorders. In the 8th Grade I won first place over all at the County Science Fair. My project was comparing 10% Ethanol blend gasoline to Compressed Natural Gas, and the benefits of switching to Compressed Natural Gas.
I have always been an athlete. In high school I continued competing competitvely in cheer and started golf my freshman year. I learned quickly in golf and began to medal my sophomore year. I take lessons from various golf pros and love every minute of it. I am coachable, trainable, and teachable. I value instruction and apply it. I have always been a part of a team and thrive under the structure of the discipline of the sport. I would be an asset to a team because I bring heart, spirit, dedication, and joy. I have competed in sports in front of thousands of people and rise to success with the pressure of the audience. I have never shied away from the spot light, and excel under the love of the game.
Although, I'm very active in sports and busy with practices my school work is still maintained. I am a good student, and studying is just as important to me as my game. At an early age I dreamt of being an architect. I love the structure of buildings and I love art. As I got older I became interested in architecture more and I also love to create things. Therefore, my plan is to go to college to study architectural engineering with a minor in business marketing. I would love to some day design my own set of golf clubs. With my interest in engineering I decided that it would be good for me to studying welding at the vo-tech. Therefore, I signed up for a class at the Indian Capital Technical Center in Tahlequah, OK. By doing this I will be missing a few classes that would be necessary to be accepted into college. Therefore, I contacted my school counselor at the end of school last year and begin an on line class for Algebra II. I will finish this class on line in December and will take Spanish II on line as well. This will put me ahead so that I can continue to take welding and become certified. I also plan to compete in Welding as I am competitive by nature. There will be some contests that we will be allowed to do.
I am 100% invested in my future, and my saying that I learned from my mom is "Do it right the first time." She always said to ask questions first and make sure you do it right the first time because it will take twice as long to have to redo everything. I was raised to be an independent person with goals.
