Personal Statement

Dear Coaches :
Alexis has been a student of mine for several years, she has a huge potential as a player as she develops. Her game is green as of now but this summer she has gained huge improvement this year . He ball striking ability is better than some of the top players I have coached including Julia Ford, and Katie Um who have both won State Titles.Alexis has huge potential and with the proper coach she is a hidden gem . This one could be a diamond in the rough for the right coach !!
Sincerely,
Jeff Dantas

I am looking to major in the Biochem/Neuro field in college to become a pediatric neurosurgeon. Presently, I am an high honor roll student at Mt Hope High School, with aspirations of playing college golf. While only playing the game of golf for two years, with the aid of my swing coach,  Jeffrey Dantas, I was able to make the 2014 Rhode Island second All-State Team.  I also placed 25th in the New England Championships sophomore year.  Junior Year I shot a 75 at the New England's placing 8th. During the summer months, I compete in the U.S. Challenge Cup events, as well as, AJGA events throughout New England and beyond. I am looking to rise in the national rankings which will aid me in obtaining a scholarship. I love the game of golf and the challenge it presents. I feel that 2016 will be a big year for me as I continue to improve my swing. My Christian faith keeps me grounded and with God's help I will continue to grow strong as a person.

Academic Accomplishments

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. My junior year is when I was introduced to honor classes and also AP's, so I was late on the bandwagon. My freshman year I was at a small private school that didn't offer these type of classes. So, in 11th grade, I really came to terms with the fact that I loved learning, so I decided to push myself. What's nice is I got even better grades taking honor and AP's then regular classes, so that shows improvement.
Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. AP Biology, AP Stats, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Calculus, AP Physics
Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center?
Yes
