Personal Statement
Since I was in the 7th grade, I have lettered on the Varsity golf team at the largest high school in the State of South Dakota. Ever since I started playing competitive golf at the age of 10. I knew I wanted to play in college. In every tournament I drive myself to be the best I can be, and I have a very competitive nature to help my team improve.
I finished in the top ten in a field of 89 golfers at the State AA Tournament in June of 2017. This season I recorded a career best 18-hole tournament as the individual medalist with a 78. I also placed in the top 10 at the South Dakota Junior Tour Championship in July of 2017.
I am a member at The Golf Club at Red Rock, and in the off season I play from the white tees (6,236 yards) to prepare myself for the longer courses at the collegiate level. I love the game and have a great work ethic. I will push myself to do what it takes to succeed. I have lowered my GHIN handicap to a 10.3. I am very happy with the progress in my golf game.
I have a 4.1 GPA. My goal is to finish my high school career in the top of the class. In December my composite ACT score was a 25. My goal is to attain a composite score of 29 prior to graduation in 2018.
I want to attend a university that will provide a quality education, while playing the highest level of golf I can play.
**NOTE: South Dakota does not award individual players in the areas of All-Conference, District, or State; therefore, I don't have any of those such accolades to provide.
