Golf is my passion and I would like it to be my future career as well.
For my short term goals: I want to play consistently in the 70's. Every time I go out to the course to play or practice, my intention is to constantly improve my game. I am willing to invest the practice time it takes to improve my game and lower my scores.
For my long term goals: I'd like to pursue playing golf at the collegiate level, and then try out for the LPGA. If playing golf at the next level doesn't work out, then at least I will be able to have it forever to do with friends, family, and coworkers.
Golf Achievements: In my freshman year I made the varsity golf team and played in every golf tournament. I won a district school tournament with a score of 87. Our High School golf team went to State and finished 4th overall last year. As a Sophomore I won all the regular High School tournaments. In district I finished 2nd, and our team finished 1rst, regionals I finished 2nd and our team finished 2nd. State I finished 5th with 78, 77, and our golf team won the state title! I am now playing in the TJGT series currently and I have enjoyed nice success with hard work. I have been working every day to improve and become consistent with my golf swing and short game.
Other Achievements: Throughout my life I have played many different sports like club volleyball, club basketball, and club soccer. These sports have shown that my hard work and dedication can pay off tremendously. I have applied that mindset into my school work as well. I have a cumulative GPA of 4.4, and made the National Honor Society. I am involved with Dancers against Cancer outside of school which is a nonprofit organization that gives sponsorship to families that have cancer and are on hard times.
My college goals are: Get my degree in my chosen major, and to be prepared for life and the work place. I also want to come out of college having met new people and having made new friends. Finally, I want to have matured more in golf and come out a better player than what I started as. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Will help me elevate my golf game to the next level and prepare me to meet the goals I hope to achieve in the future, in work, sports and life. I want my college years to provide a positive experience.
