First and foremost, my collegiate aspiration is to play with a team. My high school unfortunately does not have a girls golf team - I am the team. I believe I can be a great candidate for any collegiate team because of my integrity and dedication to the game of golf. My parents instilled in me at a very young age that school is the first priority. I was fortunate to be given the choice to either have a "normal childhood" or to put my total dedication into school and golf.
I am a realist. I would say that alone makes me different. Academics and golf have been my priority since my 8th grade year. I know I am not " Einstein" or 'Michelle Wei" but I do believe that a lot of hard work, dedication, and mental toughness can elevate my game (academically and athletically). Like any young golfer, I struggle with the mental aspects of the game but know that I have come a long way.
As I begin my senior year, I look forward to finishing off my senior year strong - academically and athletically. I believe I am more driven than ever to excel. I know I will have to work extra hard on my game - both physically and mentally. Lastly, my goal is to consistently shoot in the 70s before the end of the year.
