Haley Wood '15 Recruiting Profile

I started playing golf in the ninth grade and really enjoyed playing. This past summer I realized that if I worked hard and pushed myself that I could maybe play for a college or university. I attended University of Texas golf camp last summer and it has helped be drop my score by 20 strokes. I have had only a few lessons from the pro at our municipal course and from my mom who played. I come from a small school so I have worked on teaching myself. It would mean a lot to me to prove this next year that I can again shave strokes from my play and achieve a dream of playing in college. I am a hard worker and would love the chance to be instructed by some of the best coaches out there who love the sport as much as I do. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find and I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible, An update to my status, I have been playing the North Texas jr PGA tour to help improve my game. I also have a private coach now that has helped me improve my swing to help me advance in this sport I love so much. I have not stopped playing since our season ended last year, the change with my swing has caused my score to be higher than expected but I am confident that I will now be able to shoot in the low 80's very soon. I just love golf!!!
