My goals include playing college golf, and contributing in as many ways possible to the school I attend. I consider myself to be a very involved student at my school because I participate and hold leading positions in clubs and additional sports. I take great pride in representing my school through all I do, and always remember to give credit to my school for my accomplishments.
I learned how to play golf in the summer of 2012, which is quite late considering my set goal of playing college golf. With my dedication, I was able to earn a spot on the varsity golf team at my high school in the fall, and even got named team captain. Knowing I had to lead both the girls and boys golf teams, I made sure to practice as much as possible and always set a positive example for my teammates. Starting my first season of golf, I made great relationships with golfers from other schools, and I gained enough experience to use to my advantage for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. I know golf is a beautiful sport that is challenging in both physical and mental aspects. Muscle-memory plays a great deal in golf, therefore, I know the importance of practicing whenever possible.
Whenever I am asked to help a club or a sport at my school, I usually agree, but I never prioritize anything above golf. I enjoy helping others as much as I possibly can, and I find myself doing plenty of community service outside of school activities. I am the Junior Catholic Daughter of the Americas Texas state 1st vice president, and I've been traveling all over Texas simply to meet new people and offer my assistance for community service projects.
Academically, I take only advanced and AP classes because I love challenging myself and expanding my knowledge. This year, my grades have been great, and I've come to see that over my high school years, I've grown along with my study habits. I love to read for fun, and my favorite subjects are English and History.
