Personal Statement
Dear coaches, I am a hard worker. I have worked diligently on my game every spring, fall, and even winter so I can compete at the highest level in my field. Throughout my high school career I have been fortunate to make the 5A First Team All State squad my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I will have to work even harder to make sure I accomplish this my senior year as well. I usually finish in the top 10 in all my competitions. I have won a couple JET tour events here in Utah. I love competing with the best. I want to lead my team to another state championship next year. We won my Sophomore year, but lost by a couple strokes this year. I don't want that to happen again my senior year. I will put in the long days and be ready for the battle next year.
I live on #2 fairway at Alpine Country Club here in Utah. I have a close relationship with my coaches. I plan to spend as much time as possible improving my game this season to compete strong in my Utah events and prepare for playing at the college level. I always want to be a strong competitor and valuable team member.
Education is important to me. I truly enjoy learning. I am looking forward to earning a degree in psychology. I hope to find a school that has a competitive golf team and a good psychology program.
I am a great candidate for your team. I am humble and teachable with a desire to win. I love golf as a team sport. Team mates fighting their individual battles in hopes of contributing a winning score. It doesn't get much better.
My current GPA is a 3.92. I hope to use scholarships to help pay for my education.
