Personal Statement
Hockey has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and I have enjoyed all of my experiences that have come with it, such as building a strong relationship with my teammates and learning to work together on and off the ice. I started out playing Tier 3 boys hockey and in my second year of pewees won state. After that season I switched over to the Alaska Allstars U14 Tier 2 girls team and won the 2013 National Championships. The 2 following years I played for Team Alaska and attended Nationals both times, winning a 3rd and 2nd place title. Last season (2015/2016) I played for the Alaska Allstars U16 Tier 2 girls team and took second at nationals in Vermont.
Apart from comp hockey I enjoy taking advantage of wondrous activities Alaska has to offer such as hiking, fishing, camping, snow machining, along with traveling, visiting family, and hanging out with friends. I am a hardworking, dedicated student athlete with high expectations for myself. My classes consist of AP and advanced courses. I have played high school hockey as well as comp through my high school career as a starting player on varsity. For my Sophomore and Junior year I was voted Captain of the team. My goal is to attend a school where my dedication to academics and athletics is met by the people around me.
