Hello, my name is Cadence Richards, and I am a graduating student in the class of 2025. As a right defence player, I am dedicated to honing my skills on the ice and pursuing excellence in the sport of hockey. In the 2022-2023 season, I stood out as the highest-scoring rookie defence player, showcasing my offensive prowess and ability to contribute to the team's success. In the 2021-2022 season, I was recognized as the top defensive player in the AFHL U15AAA league, displaying my exceptional skills on the ice. Additionally, I was honoured as the top defensive player for the St. Albert Chargers through the Raiders Organization. Moreover, my exceptional performance earned me a spot as an All-Star in the 2022 Alberta Challenge. These accomplishments reflect my dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence in the sport of hockey.

I am not only a skilled player but also a natural leader on and off the ice. I have strong communication skills and serve as an anchor for my team's defensive unit. My ability to effectively communicate with my teammates, provide guidance, and remain calm in high-pressure situations is instrumental in maintaining a cohesive defensive structure. I am known for my unwavering work ethic, being the first one to arrive at the rink and the last one to leave. My commitment and drive to succeed have led me to dream of playing sports in college, where I can continue to push myself and make a significant impact on a team.

I am particularly interested in schools that offer strong hockey programs and academic excellence. I prioritize the academic level and division level of the school, seeking an environment that challenges me both academically and athletically. With aspirations of pursuing a science major, I am determined to work my way into the faculty of medicine.
