Personal Statement

I am a very hard worker. If I sense my skill lacking, I will work as hard as I can on my own time. I have a strong work ethic and conside myself to be very coachable. I listen to directions and am a leader, not a follower. I lead by example, and try to set the bar high. I have over a 4.0 GPA, and work just as hard on my academics as with hockey. I have had straight A's since middle school, even with taking strenuous classes along with partaking in a variety of sports and extra curricular activities. I play with my heart. I'm not a show off, I believe a great assist is better than a goal. I like to see my team mates succeed as well. I am determined on and off the ice!

I average about 2-3 points a game, and give over 110% with every shift I take. I am out there fighting for my team, and for myself. I never give up nor hang my head after a mistake. I keep fighting to the end. I believe that every person makes mistakes, which provides us with a lesson in itself. Never would I ever yell at or blame a teammate during a game, for we are a team.

I have taken over 9 years of karate which has taught me valuable life morals. I have learned the true meaning of honesty, integrity, and perseverance. I have been able to apply those three words to everything I do.

I play two other sports besides hockey including soccer, and softball. I enjoy playing sports and staying as active as possible. Hockey, however, is something that has brought me so much joy, and pleasure. I get into the game and enjoy every second that I play. I am constantly trying different moves, and am working to improve my shot. I go outside just about everyday, and take shots in my driveway. I am more than willing to commit myself to hockey.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
