I was recently awarded with the Liz Turgeon Award from Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association. This award is given to an outstanding player that shows commitment, sportsmanship, and always gives their all. Along with hockey, I also enjoy horse back riding. I have been riding ever since I was a little girl. My dad and I have three horses and many dogs that we breed and hunt off horse back with.
Growing up I was a figure skater. I actually figure skated for nine years before I switched over to hockey. I always knew that there was something about throwing people against the boards that I loved. It really was not that big of a surprise to my friends and family when I told them that I wanted to switch.
Throughout my life I have been blessed with the ability to go to a private Christian school. I loved it there and Denver Christian made an impact on my life like nothing ever before. This year, my sophomore year, I decided that I wanted to go to a public and larger high school. It was hard to say goodbye to the memories and friends I made at Denver Christian but I strongly believe that this switch to Rock Canyon High School was well worth it.
