Personal Statement
My aspirations for college are to play for a division I team at a school where I can pursue my academic interests and hopefully be able to represent Team USA in the Olympics. I think I make a great candidate for a collegiate team because I am a very team oriented player. I also value feedback from coaches because I understand how essential it is to developing as a player. I work hard on and off the ice to ensure that I am being the best athlete, student, and person I can be. For the past four years I have been invited to the Mid Atlantic District Camp. I have also been recognized as a leader in my community by being elected multiple times to student government and on my hockey team as Captain. I recently received the Louis H. Tietjen award for being an outstanding athlete and leader at my school. The idea of being able to play a collegiate sport motivates me to work hard on my academics and to continue to train and grow as a player.
