Personal Statement
I am in my third year of JROTC and I was invited to be a counselor at Miami University's Hockey camp. I have had a lifetime of leadership and athleticism. Starting with gymnastics, and moving onto baseball, figure skating, cheerleading, and finally hockey. I was seven years old when I participated in TimBits IP program with hockey and played two seasons there, I stepped away from the sport but returned when I was 12 and played for my local house team. When I was 14, I played for an all girls travel team which no longer exists. This is my third year on varsity for the Henry Clay Blue Devils, and my sophomore year we won the state championship. I would also like to mention that I am the first girl to play for the dominantly male team, and hope more girls fall in love with the sport as I did.
