I have been playing hockey ever since I can remember with playing college hockey being the standing goal. Growing up in Roseau MN, hockey was a huge part of life! I was very fortunate to grow up in a town where there was always open ice. My desire to play hockey at the most competitive level has driven me both on and off the ice. I have used this to help me be a good athlete and scholar.
Everyone thinks of all hockey experiences is being 'on the ice'. That is only part of it for me. I have traveled, met great people, and experienced things while playing hockey that have helped create who I am today.
Being a 3 sport athlete, I have learned to balance my time. Maintaining a 3.92 GPA, volunteering with youth athletics and community groups, working at the local YMCA as a LifeGuard and competing at a varsity level takes planning and dedication.
I want to be able to use what I have learned and experienced while playing the game, and incorporate that into a career.
