"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." -Henry Ford.
To me, someone's character says a lot about them in life. If they are caring, organized and confident in some part of their life they will continue to use those traits in every thing they do. I am a very caring person and will do whatever it takes to make sure every around me will suceed in their dreams. Being on hockey team, I have definietly learned to put the teams goals in front of my own so that we can all accomplish our dreams. Being able to accomplish our dreams means hard work and determination. I know for a fact I have a lot of determination in my heart in almost everything I do but especially hockey. I'm always cheering on and off the ice in the hope that my teammates will still support each other even when we are losing a tough game. I'm glad that I know to get where I want to be, playing college hockey, I need to work hard during the season and off season.
I've been apart of the New Prague Girls Hockey team since Freshman year and have also been a part of Varsity since Freshman Year. In the beginning of Freshman Year, my coach selected me to be a part of the Annual Varsity Scrimmage Tournament of 6 teams, in which I was the first JV player and also first first-year player to be invited. During my Junior year, I was a Varsity starter on Defense and had a total of 11 assists during the season.
I'm not completely sure about where I want to attend school at yet. I know I would prefer to stay in Minnesota, close to my family but I would be open-minded to anywhere! I'm also very open to either big or small schools because I work well in big groups and small groups of people. My desired major is either elementary school teaching or computer forensics. Computer forensics is a new upcoming field and not all schools have that certain degree but I'm still unsure about which path I would like to take.
My realistic athletic goals would be to help my team make it to the State Tournament next season, score some more points while stll continuing to set up my teammates for goals and to continue to play hockey through college.
There are many important aspects that go into a player besides their athletic ability, such as their ability to be a part of team, help others reach their dreams and never give up no matter what the scoreboard says.
