Personal Statement

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit my profile and consider me for your team.  I'd like to start out by telling you the person I am and a couple things that I'd like you to know about me, and then I'll tell you about the person I want to be in the future and who I will strive to be.  I also have goals for myself that I'd like to share.

I am very hard working individual and I want to excel at everything I do.  I am very passionate about Ice Hockey and if you know the least bit about hockey you know it takes a lot of hard work, elbow grease, and dedication.  I am willing to give it all I've got and work hard. I am coach-able and driven by teamwork. I believe I am the one person in the world who loves hockey the most. I am willing to get up as early in the morning as needed to get somewhere for something hockey related. I feel that shows much dedication because getting up early is normally a problem for college students. If I want something I strive to get it and won't quit until I get to where I want to be. I set goals for myself. If you never set goals for yourself you'll never achieve your full potential, so I've set both academics and athletic personal goals to set myself up for success.  People change their minds multiple times before choosing a major in college but I am very interested in Biology.

I have been a Girl Scout for eleven years and I've accomplished my GS SILVER AWARD which included a sixty-hour community service project. I do some volunteer work, for example, I've volunteered to babysit at the battered women's shelter while the moms take classes and get counseling. Some extracurricular activities I attend through school are, FCA(Fellowship of Christian athletes) and The jungle on the move, which is my school's spirit club for athletics. I enjoy helping people and spending time outside, such as bike riding with my father. I enjoy playing all the sports but I only play golf and soccer at my high school and travel ice hockey.  The main reason I love playing sports is because I get to be apart of a team and teamwork is very important to me.  Being apart of a team has taught me so much, like how it's similar to a family and that you can't win by yourself, let alone play successfully at all. I'm a team player and I won't be self-absorbed and a puck hog. I will rejoice when my teammates score even if I didn't assist or wasn't on the ice when it went in.

What makes me different from other candidates for your team is that I'm coach-able, not that other players aren't coach-able but not every player is. I listen well and will give my undivided attention and devotion to my coach/coaches as well as being open to suggestion and guidance. I will work as hard and as long as needed for me to become the player my coaches and I know I can be. I have the dedication, the passion, and the athleticism for this sport and I am prepared to take on anything to get as far as I can in my career of ice hockey. I'm open to any and all options available to me. Hockey is something I eat sleep and breathe it fuels my happiness in life. I feel God put me on this earth to be the best player I can be and I am going to fulfill my destiny.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
