Anna Veazey '16 Recruiting Profile

For the 2015-16 season, I am playing with the 19U AAA Colorado Selects, part of the JWHL league.  This season has been a great experience! While we are not winning games, I am taking a lot of shots at this higher level of play and loving it!  I have previously played for the Rushmore Thunder in Rapid City, SD.  I started hockey when I was 9 and have been a goalie since I was 11.  I have been a multi-sport athlete (volleyball,softball) and believe that it helped develop my focus, strength and conditioning for hockey. When I step onto the ice, I am determined to play my best, be a team leader and work with my teammates so we all can become better athletes.  I work hard in school, get good grades and manage my time well.  I am also involved in the school choir.  I always try to be someone who is well respected.  I want to be someone that not only my team and coaches, but other teams and coaches know and respect for my actions both on and off the ice. I am looking for colleges that will help me excel not only in sports but also prepare me well for a successful life.
