I have already committed to Miland University but I can’t figure out how to delete my profile. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I have been playing hockey since I was twelve. I play for my hometown team and on my state's tier two team. I typically play defense but at Team South Dakota's first tournament I got moved up to wing and I have been very successful. I average a goal per game on Team South Dakota. We went to a tournament in Bolingbrook, Illinois. We won all of our games, including the whole tournament. This year we also went to the Silver Stick Tournament in Westminster, Colorado. We went undefeated in the tournament and ended up winning. At the end of the game two players were given pins, I was one of those players. My pin was for most inspirational player, the whole team was proud of how far I had come considering I had never played forward. That weekend I scored quite a lot, and played very well. Team SD never lost a game until we went to Madison, Wisconsin to a tier one tournament. We went to nationals in 2016 we lost to the team that won nationals by one in the semi finals. This year we were undefeated, and number one in the nation until the tier one tournament, that moved us down to fifth. We went to nationals again this year(2017). We made it to the quarter finals and lost in overtime. Tryouts for Team South Dakota is coming up, I do plan on trying out again. As far as my home town team, I am the captain of the team. I personally think I am a good team leader and have worked hard to earn captain. My team as a whole is not bad, for all of the young girls on our team, and first year players we have done pretty well this past year.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the ice. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
I realize that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and aim to be a hard working played.
Some more about me- I am the oldest of four children. My oldest brother is 13, we are very competitive with each other when it comes to, well pretty much anything. He plays hockey, softball, and runs in track. He is an amazing hockey player. He really works hard and I think he could definitely make it somewhere if he puts his mind to it. My younger brother is 11, he plays hockey and lacrosse. He just started hockey last year. My little sister is 6, she just started skating last year as well. I kind of made mom and dad start her early because I never had the chance to. I can't wait to watch her play when she grows up. Outside of hockey and school, I play softball. I play on a women team and a coed team during the summer. I play second base or shortstop. I also like to go to the races with my dad on the weekends. If I'm not doing any of that I am probably working, I currently am working at Dairy Queen. I used to work out with my dad at a crossfit gym our family friend used to own, I'm not exactly sure why I stopped going there, but I definitely will be starting to work out there again as soon as school is over.
