Personal Statement
Hockey has always been important in my life since I started playing at the age of three. It was something I have always wanted to do and have always dreamed about playing at the collegiate level. Since I played boys hockey most of my life I played where my coach needed me, but I prefer defense. I started playing girls hockey when I got to High School. My sophomore year of High School I started playing split season with the Vermont Shamrocks. We won regionals in 2015 and went to Nationals and placed third. I'm very coachable and I am willing to work harder to get better. I consider my self a team leader and a person people look to for help. Not only do I play hockey, but I also play soccer and track & field. Sports are very important in my life, but school is too. I work very hard to keep a high GPA and I'm currently fourth in my class. I'm open to many options for colleges, but I would like to stay in the New England and New York area. If there is a great opportunity for me I will take the offer. Hockey is something that I can always look forward to and I would be ecstatic if I was recruited to play.
