Personal Statement
I began to play lacrosse when I was around 10 years old. I have fast reflexes and quick, strong shots that have led me to play at a higher level in womens lacrosse in the past 4 years.
As a high school student, I was very discouraged to find that my school did not have a team. So, I began to play competitively at club level for Bay Area Wave lacrosse club. I traveled to Colorado, Virginia, Palm Springs, Petaluma and many more cities around the country for showcases and tournaments. Later as a sophomore, a team was created and I began to play as a starting attack.
One thing that is different about me compared to other players is my aggressiveness and tenacity. I use all types of dodges in the arc to maneuver quickly, and efficiently around my defender. I have a very strong, powerful and accurate shot that often results in goals when I take 8 meter shots.
I am very coachable and I adapt easily in all types of game situations.
I am extremely determined as a player and a student. My goal for college is to find a way to incorporate my determination and aggressiveness on the field with my intelligence in school to succeed as a college student.
