I have loved lacrosse since middle school. I have been involved in many other sports all my life, such as volleyball, swimming, running, soccer, skiing, triathlons, water skiing and rock climbing. I participated in track on the varsity high school team my freshman and sophomore year, but upon being named captain my junior year, I decided not to spread myself thin to two sports in the spring and stayed with lacrosse only. I also played 4 years of high school varsity volleyball in the fall. I spent each winter playing club volleyball as the closest club lacrosse team was two hours away. However during the winter I supplement my training with running, skinning up back country skiing and indoor training. I played on a summer club team my freshman and junior years. My sophomore year I travelled to Europe so I just walked on to a couple of tournaments that year.
I am very strong academically. I maintained a 3.97 through my academics. I will graduate with 6 math, 4 English, 4 history, 4 science, 4 theology and 3 language credits. Also I have additional credits in health, art, music. I will have 12 AP/DE courses completed upon graduation.
My school is involved in many outreach programs. I will perform a week long mission outreach my freshman year. I went on a mission trip to Jamaica before my senior year to teach lacrosse. I will also help Salvation Army over holidays. I will be aiding lesser communities by donating school supplies at Thanksgiving, along with my time as a tutor. I walk dogs at the local Animal Shelter as a volunteer as well. At church, I help with the Sunday school teachings. During the summer and holidays, I work at my parent's restaurant. I have been helping since I was 12 and officially started working as a host, busser, and food runner when I turned 13. At 15 I started waiting tables and have worked in the role of manager many times. All of these sports, academics, volunteer and work opportunities keep me well rounded and busy. I enjoy being regimented with my activities and see the benefits I can give back to my community through my time and effort.
I would like to continue to pursue my sports and advanced academics. I would love to play lacrosse in college at a good academic college or university. I am interested in a major in sports business management. .Some schools that I am interested only offer business management, but I feel that would be enough to develop my skills and then I could focus on getting a job in the sports industry with that as my degree. I hope to continue my academic success, my lacrosse success and yet maintain enough free time to be able to help those less fortunate by volunteering my time. I aspire to meet your recruiting guidelines and be able to build a successful recruiting profile for myself.
