Personal Statement
To Whom it May Concern,
I am very interested in playing lacrosse in college, especially for a Division 2 or 3 school. Sports have always been my motivator to succeed and I know that I want to participate in sports in college to help do better academically. I really am only interested in Division 2 or Division 3 schools, because I would like to play for a smaller school instead of a larger d1 school. I know my learning strengths and know that I will excel more in a smaller school where I know my teachers, classmates and coaches well. I need to have a strong student- teacher relationship in order to be successful.

> My lacrosse career started in second grade. I started playing for Wecmrd for two years, then went on to Backcountry Lacrosse/ Vail LAX for six, and I have played for Eagle Valley, my high school, for two. The positions I have played through the years include, low D and D wing for 6 years for club. Once I started High School team, I have mainly played A wing, D wing and sometimes Low A and Midi. As a Freshman, I received the honor of Western Slope All Conference- 1st team and participated in the All Conference game in Denver. As a Sophomore, I received the honor of Western Slope All Conference - 1st Team and Most Valuable Player (MVP) for our Team.

> I have also played Varsity Volleyball all through Middle and High school, competed on EVHS ski team for two years and played Vail Valley Volleyball club volleyball for 6 years.
In my community, I have volunteered to coach lacrosse and volleyball camps, I have also advocated for more girl lacrosse players in my valley by going to elementary schools and getting the word out there for girl’s lacrosse. I have also volunteered in elementary schools for many school community days, Wild West Days, field days and I currently working at a Rocky Mountain Preschool of Discovery. I have been involved in many high school activities like Link Crew, Student Council, choir, guitar, and many school plays/community plays.

> My current GPA is a 3.56 and I have taken many DE, AP and Advanced level courses and am signed up for all AP, DE or Advanced level courses for this year.
I think I am interested in studying Environmental Science, Education or Sociology as my majors/ minors in college.
I hope you will consider me for your school, I am a dedicated, coachable, hard working athlete looking for the perfect school that wants me to play Lacrosse for them!
