Maggie O'Brien '17 Recruiting Profile

Lacrosse is a fast and exciting game that requires teamwork and communication. This year is my fifth year playing lacrosse and every year I learn something new. To have the opportunity to continue to play lacrosse in college would be incredible.
I have played midfield, attack and defense throughout my lacrosse career. I am predominantly an attack player with speed and the drive to work hard and succeed. I have been a starter on the varsity lacrosse team for my high school both freshman and sophomore year. During my freshman year I made the All County 2nd Team for attacking players. My personal goal is to continue to be a hard working player both on and off the field. 
In regards to my academics I am in the International Baccalaureate program at my high school and study hard all year long. I am the type of recruit that can stay on top of academics while working hard on the field. To ensure I am a well rounded, I am in the Student to Student program that works to help kids in military families adjust to my high school.  
In conclusion, I would love to attend a college/university where I can thrive both on the field and academically, becoming a valued member of the college/university community.
