Lacrosse, the sport I have stuck with after 4 years of competing and falling in love with it. The most common question I get asked is why did you start playing? Well I started playing my freshmen year of high school all because I had a crush on a boy who told me to play. Shortly after I realized that it was fun, high paced and challenging. I always love a good challenge, so I kept playing and practicing for hours on my own after school practices. Then, the same year I was a starter by my second game on the team. I then went on to my sophomore year being named offensive player of the year. then my junior year got cut short so we didn’t do award or play very many games. Of course I was upset but in quarantine I kept working out and practicing. Then my senior year came and I played like every second was my last. I scored my 100th point on my senior night and was captain along with being named Most Valuable Player of the year. After those few games I realized to be the best you must keep practicing and play every second like it’s your last. That’s what I will do moving forward to college. I always aspire to be the best and work the hardest on the field. I was the only one after practice running sprints to be faster and working on 8 meter shots cause I was struggling. I always work on my weaknesses until they’re my strengths and thats what makes me different. I have the want and work ethic to be the best.
