Josie Mundell '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an aggressive midfielder who runs the entire field with stamina/speed and can dodge/drive, pass, shoot/score with either hand. I am strong on the draw and tenacious on ground balls. I am also a HS Cross Country runner that brings thousands of miles to the lacrosse field. A fearless defender, oftentimes tasked to faceguard the other team’s best player. I received the 2021 “110% Effort” award as the hardest worker on my HS varsity team and was selected to the 2021 Kentucky Underclassman All-Star Team. I also was selected to and represented Team Kentucky at the 2021 US Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament. Most recently, I was named to the All-Star Team at the Southern Elite Showcase. I consider myself a highly coachable player and strive to adapt/improve based on feedback from coaches. I aspire to major in Political Science or government in college and am considering a dual major in economics or finance. My current plan is to later attend law school.  

Last, while I am seeking a competitive environment to play lacrosse, I am also seeking an academic intuition that will prepare me for law school or whatever other path I may decide.
