Madison Vasta '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5ft9, 2011 Honorable Mention All American, Senior, Center Mid Fielder/Attack from Overland Park, KS. I have started and led the Varsity Blue Valley district HS team in ground balls, defensive take aways, a top 2 scorer and Team Captain for the past 3 years. I have 8 years lacrosse experience, including the Central Region Team, 2011 National Tournament; 2011 Capital Cup, Home Team; KC Orange Elite Select Team (Naples President's Cup, 10) and will play in Naples again this year 2011.  I was on the Blue Lions Elite Select team (Vail Shootout, 09). I have a weighted 4.2 GPA (includes AP and Honors classes) and am currently awaiting my most recent ACT test scores. I am looking for a strong academic institution where I can fulfill my prerequisites and build a sturdy foundation for a career in medicine. I am striving to get an academic scholarship and although I live in Kansas City, I am open to going to school anywhere. I would prefer a Catholic/Christian environment but is not necessary. My father, Joe Vasta was an All-American at Air Force in 1986. He is #3 NCAA Division 1 all time points in a career with 343. He was surpassed by 2 Duke 5th year players in 2006. He currently is the Head Coach of the Blue Valley District Girls Lacrosse team that I play for here in Overland Park, KS.
