My name is Sydney Murner and I am currently a Senior at Shrewsbury High School. I have many aspirations for college. I want to further my education so that I can have more opportunities later in my life. I would love to be a student athlete to round out my college experience.
My first two years of high school have gone very well. I took honors classes both my freshamn and sophmore year, and was on the distinguished honor roll both years. This year I am taking all honors and am very excited for the challenge! I play three varsity sports for my high school: soccer, ski racing, and lacrosse. This makes me a diverse athlete. In addition to the school team, I ski race at a very competitive level (USSA). This has really helped me with the mental aspect of lacrosse. My experience with soccer has helped incredibly with my speed and endurance.
Lacrosse has always come very naturaly to me and I am a very hard worker. I know that if I play lacrosse in college and could focus all my energy on this one sport, I could excel at it more than I have already. I have great speed and indurance which really helps with getting back on defense and sprinting up when the posession changes. I am a good leader and constantly find myself being the one who pumps up the team.
I participate in community service through my church and the National Latin Honors Society. I would be a great addition to your team because I am diverse athlete, with leadership skills, good grades, and a lot of athletic ability.
