Delaney Stimson '17 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a junior at Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey. I am a strong defensive lacrosse player and I am striving to get better everyday. I enjoy playing many positions on the field but my mind is definitely geared towards defense. I have been playing lacrosse since I was in 6th grade (11 years old) and I fell in love with it. I have done many sports and activities in the past, including figure skating, basketball, and dance. I also currently play field hockey, however, lacrosse is where my heart is and it is what I see myself doing in the future. I am a big leader, as well as a team player, and I am always looking to help others on and off the field. I have a particularly good long pass and I am always hustling during practice and in the game. I have been told by my coach that I have more "game smarts" than many players.

I am taking 3 honors classes and 2 AP classes this year. My current unweighted GPA is 3.74 and I have been on the Honor Roll multiple times.

I have attended the Game Breakers sleep away camp at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut for 3 years and I do off-season tournaments and clubs with my team. This summer (2016) will be my first year competing with the South Jersey Devils Lacrosse Club. I look forward to attending a college where I can both excel in the classroom and on the field. I am open to many options and my main goal is to find a school that is right for me.
