Personal Statement
My goal is to play lacrosse at the collegiate level while furthering my education at a four year university. I am a hardworking scholar-athlete who has successfully balanced my academic life with my athletic aspirations. I work hard on and off the field, maintaining an above-90 average and securing a place on Bethpage High School's Gold Honor Roll since arriving as a Freshman in 2013.
As a passionate lacrosse player, I bring everything I have to every game! What sets me apart from others is my flexibility as an athlete and my willingness to put team needs before my own desires. I have played lacrosse since Second Grade, and since that time, I have played every position on the field. This has given me a keen sense of field placement and the ability to anticipate my opponents' moves. After being asked to join the Bethpage High School Junior Varsity team in 8th Grade, I have focused my efforts on building my skills to aggressively play attack and midfield positions. This past year, however (my second year playing at the varsity level for Bethpage High School), our team was left without a goalie for the season. I immediately stepped up and seamlessly transitioned from offense to defense. Although it was my very first year playing in this position, I was áble to save 136 goals for the season - the most in our conference. This is an accomplishment for which I am very proud, and for which I won various awards including Unsung Hero and BHS Coach's Award. It is said that actions speak louder than words. I believe this speaks perfectly to my character and integrity as a player.
