Since I was four years old I've been doing karate. I still do it, and I love it. From karate I have learned discipline, respect, and control. I have also been teaching karate for two years now. It takes a lot of patience to teach kids, but it well worth the wait to see them succeed. As an athlete, I have been playing lacrosse for three years going on four years now. During my 2nd year of lacrosse, I was pulled up to JV. During my 9th grade year I was on JV too, and I was a captain for my JV lacrosse team. This year is my 4th year playing, and I was selected to play on the varsity team in 10th grade. I have a passion for lacrosse; it is my favorite sport that I have ever played. I've played all different sports like soccer, softball, dance, cheer-leading, field hockey, and now lacrosse.
My dominate hand in lacrosse is left, but I can do right almost as well. I play all different positions: for example, my main position is left side attack. However, I can play defense as well. I can play right too if any coach needs me too. I like being a team player, able to help out in any position a coach needs me in.
Another sport I play is field hockey. My 9th grade year was my first year playing. In the middle of my first season they pulled me up to varsity.
My inspiration came from my varsity coaches daughter Nicole Levy. She is a fabulous athlete that I look up too. She got a scholarship to Syracuse University. She pushed me to be the greatest athlete I can be. My family has also pushed me and encourage me to play lacrosse. I always want to practice and accomplish more in order to exceed the expectations I have for my self.
I love helping others. I go to a church every other week and help to support the homeless. We make sandwiches and we pack packages for them so that they have the necessities they need to maintain themselves.
My grades are very important to me. I try my hardest to get the grades I need to succeed in life and to get into a good college. It can be hard at times, but I make sure that I pass and do well.
My ultimate goal with in the next for 3 years of high school is to get high grades and keep practicing and playing lacrosse.
I think I will be a great candidate for any college team because I am very out going, and I love to meet people. I work very hard and have a passion for what I do. I also am very visual, so I when I see things once and I know what I am doing. If someone is doing something wrong I love to help them instead of discouraging them.
I love playing the sports I play, and I would love to play on a college team one day.
