Personal Statement

I was honored to be named 1^st Team All Ohio State, 1^st Team All Region and 2^nd Team All Conference at the conclusion of my sophomore year at Dublin Scioto High School. Our team worked together well this year building on the foundation that started my freshmen year. It is rewarding to continue to improve with my classmates and friends in the sport I love to play. Beyond school and club sports, I was named to the U19 Mexico National Team to compete at the World Cup in Peterborough, Ontario, August 2019.

Participating in sports brings a great sense of satisfaction, but it also helps me be disciplined and organized. During the school year sports helped me remain focused and prioritize my time more efficiently. After all, my education is my top priority. Participating thru sports has also allowed me to develop strong relationships with my teachers and helped me ensure I am actively engaged and use their experiences to be a stronger student.

When I think about college and beyond I am currently interested in Childhood Education, History, Art and potentially Coaching. Working with younger kids would be enjoyable to show them the benefits of sports and school while having fun. That sort of works sounds very appealing and is something I would like to explore in college. I am very interested in exploring how my athletic experiences and accomplishments would allow me to pursue a college degree while also competing in sports.

Coalition - (Adolescents and Community Together to prevent and reduce substance abuse.) - 2018 - 2019 Freshmen Mentor Program - Mentor for the incoming 2022 Freshmen Class at Dublin Scioto High School by helping run programs and being assigned to students to work with through the year. - 2018 - Elite Leadership Program - (Spring) -The program is geared toward the high level volleyball player looking to gain coaching experience, complete volunteer hours, or adding job experiences to a resume. - 2017 - Dublin Scioto High School - Irish Way R-Factor Leadership Academy (Leadership Development) - 2017 - Elite Leadership Program (2017-Summer, 2018-Winter) -The program is geared toward the high level volleyball player looking to gain coaching experience, complete volunteer hours, or adding job experiences to a resume. - 2017 & 2018 Volunteer assisting David Middle School Volleyball program during their 3 day summer camp, open gyms before and during tryout’s, and with first couple weeks of practice to help the team get familiar with drills and skills (Approx. 40 Hrs per season) - 2017 & 2018: Dublin Youth Associations (Recreational City League) – Referee for 5-12th Grade Volleyball weekly games for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, approximately 12 games per season - Middle School Band (violin and flute) - 4 years from 2013 - 2017 - Daycare Volunteer at Church - 1 year, - Dog Sitting/ Yard Maintenance Business - 4 years.
