Marissa Meyer '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing lacrosse since 3^rd grade and absolutely love this sport as a midfielder and defender. In order for me to pursue my passion for this sport, I helped start our very first high school team.  I have been a varsity starter and team captain since my freshman year.  I am especially proud of being team captain for the Ohio Team at the National Lacrosse Tournament last summer (2019) which went undefeated in Baltimore.

I am a very good student-athlete and take my education very seriously. I am interested in the STEM programs such as Engineering/Computer Science. I enjoy taking rigorous classes in this area and find it very rewarding. 

I run Varsity Cross Country and train with Cross Fit to help improve my lacrosse skills, strength, and endurance.  I am a member of the Junior Class Council and National Honor Society.  I participate in our Debate Club, Inter Alliance (tech) Club and Engineering Club.

I also enjoy giving back to the lacrosse community. I volunteered over the last three years helping grow our club teams with goalie training and youth programs. While in the 7^th grade, I worked closely with a parent to develop our very first high school lacrosse team. We now compete among the top Ohio Teams. This spring,  I volunteered to coach of our middle school team. I am excited to share my passion and experience with these young girls.
