Personal Statement

My name is Meg Chandler and I'm an avid fan of lacrosse both as a player and as a spectator. I've been playing for 9 years in club lacrosse, and am a junior in high school as a varsity starter on low attack. I have enjoyed watching many games at the college level as I followed my older sister's college lacrosse career at Hofstra University (class of '13). I love to play attack but enjoy the challenge of other positions also, including defense. My main goal over the next few years is to improve my game as much as possible working on speed and stick work as well as anything else to get me to the next level. In addition to lacrosse I enjoy playing goalie on my high school's water polo team in the fall. I am a very conscientious student and do well in school. Outside of school I love working with children and have worked as a counselor at nearby summer camps.
