Hi, my name is Katelin Cahill and I am currently a freshman at Mount Saint Joseph Academy. Throughout my eight years of total playing experience in the sport of lacrosse, I have discovered that I am extremely interested in playing lacrosse in college. My primary position is attack, however I have learned how to play all positions of the field which I have realized has made me better at becoming an overall well rounded player. I am a common right handed player, but over eight years of playing I have become extremely comfortable in playing with my left hand, I can pass, shoot and pick up ground balls with my left hand very well. I believe that I will make a great addition to any college lacrosse team because I am extremely hardworking (I will work hard to get what I want until I get it), I am a good team player (I am not really one for hogging the ball or blaming certain people when something goes wrong in a game), and I am an overall, well rounded player (I can play every position very well, I am dominate in both my right and left hands, and I know how to handle and shoot the ball). Lacrosse is very important to me but my education comes first. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I am highly involved at school (clubs, volunteering opportunities, and sports). For my first season of high school lacrosse I believe that I have so far had a very good season. I am currently playing on varsity and I have started some of the games I have participated in this season at the varsity level. Playing on varsity as a freshman has made me a better player because I am playing with a lot of experienced upper classmen that have showed me ways in order to become a better, well rounded player. I have also been playing both attack and defense at the varsity level and have been very successful in both of these positions. I am extremely interested in either studying Marine Biology or Criminal Psychology in college, and I am only looking to go a college that would allow me to receive the wholesome education that I want. Overall, believe that I will not only be a great fit on any college lacrosse team, but I also believe that can be a great fit at any college.
