Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Carley and I am a rising senior at Spartanburg High School in SC. I am excited about the next chapter in my life (college) and I really hope I get the opportunity to play lacrosse where ever I am fortunate enough to attend. Here are a few things I would like for you to know about me. First off, I am a military child. That has provided me with my life principles and has taught me to be a hard worker on the field as well as in the classroom. It has also instilled in me integrity, dedication and honesty. Second, when it it comes to lacrosse and I am on the field I am very competitive person, however, I also believe in good sportsmanship. The 2017 season was a great year! My high school team made it to the second round of the state playoffs and I was blessed to receive multiple individual awards. I was recognized as the SC Upper-State Player of the Year (highest award given out to a girls lacrosse player in SC), SC Upper-State Midfield of the Year, GoUpstate Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State and US Lacrosse All-American. I would love to play lacrosse in college at a school that excels on the field and provides a great education. I am a member of the National Honors Society, Beta Club and I was selected to the Academic All-Area 2nd Team with a 4.28 GPA. As a junior I was able to take 4 dual credit college/high school classes so I will start with 12 hours toward my degree. The last thing I would like for you to know about me is I believe in giving back to the community. I enjoy volunteering at different local organizations and local elementary schools mentoring younger students. If you think I would be a perfect fit for your team and school I would love to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! :-)
