Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Sarah Thurman. I am a Junior at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tennessee, Class of 2017. I have played Goalie for going on 6 years now, but I didn't realize until this year that I'm seriously interested in playing at the collegiate level. I realized that I didn't want my career to stop after Senior year, rather, I wanted it to continue, evolve, and thrive. I am currently in the beginning stages of developing a profile on NCSA and figuring out what schools I'm interested in.
Freshman year, at the Junior Varsity level, I had a 58.5% save percentage (31 saves on 53 shots.) Sophomore year, at the JV level I had a 46.5% save percentage (60 saves on 129 shots) While at the Varsity level my sophomore year, I had a 50% save percentage (34 saves on 68 shots.)
I love the game of lacrosse and all the benefits that come with it - challenges accepted and conquered, constant life lessons learned, and coach and teammate bonds formed. I can't imagine myself anywhere else on the field except for in goal.
