Personal Statement
While I am in college I am looking to be well rounded. If my schedule allows I want to participate in theater--especially the technical portion of it--club sports if I do not make collegiate level, rock climbing, going on hikes, going on excursions as much as possible, and of course to doing my best in school. I have taken as many classes as I can in school while participating in three sports year round for the past two years, most times at the varsity level.
I feel like I would be a good person to have on a team. I have received two 'Most Improved' awards and a "Coaches Award". I think these awards reflect how I am encouraging to my fellow players and vocal myself. On many occasions I am one of the few people communicating on the field and helping to give directions. I consistently lead warm ups and arrive early to practice and games. When I am not playing I am extremely loud and excited on the bench and hardly ever sit down. I have been captain of the basketball team and JV Lacrosse teams. At the end of varsity Lacrosse season the captains make their own awards for each player named 'paper plate awards' as they are written and decorated on paper plates. After my freshman year I was awarded the "Yes coach, I can play that position" plate and after my sophomore year my award was "Fast Break Champion." I was also voted "All Conference Honorable Mention" by the league coaches as a Sophomore. This is my second year playing varsity Lacrosse. We were second in our District, losing to our rival school St. Stephens by one goal in the last minute of the game. I have a passion for playing sports in general, but Lacrosse is by far my favorite. I am a competitive, persevering, coachable, excited player and I thoroughly enjoy sports.
