We live in a world in which being in a community and working together is what makes us stronger and grow healthier. As a young athlete the biggest role I play in a team setting is challenging my teammates to play as a unit, as one. My goal as an athlete is to hit the field each day giving 100% of my best effort and commitment each day. I look to learn more about my teammates, their strengths and weaknesses and have them learn about my own, so that we can all grow together. My biggest value is to play selflessly, by saying that I mean that trying to put myself in the spotlight for my own sake would be against my values. I look up to teams, and the players that are willing to make personal sacrifices and improvements for the betterment of the team. Something I do struggle with the most I think as an athlete is letting go of big mistakes I make on the field. I tend to dwell on them because I try and plan out how I will not make that mistake again rather than just moving forward. Something that has helped me and my teammates with similar weaknesses is the motto I made for myself, "get out of your head, get on the field". I really look forward to seeing what this recruiting process has to bring and showing what I can bring to a team in college.
