Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. I have been a year round athlete since the age of 3 participating in soccer, basketball, swim, martial arts and pretty much any other sport there is. Since 5th grade I have been a dedicated field hockey player and traveled all over the country playing in tournaments as a starting forward. When I got to high school my field hockey coach invited me to try out for lacrosse and I immediately fell in love with it. As an attack, I have perfected my crease rolls and off-ball movement, have excellent stick skills, move the ball well around the goal, have fast foot work, and possess a high lacrosse IQ. I plan to continue training year round with Badger Elite outside of my regular season with Arrowhead High School. Even though I'm new to lacrosse, I was the leading scorer and awarded Offensive MVP for Badger Elite. In addition, at the Indian Prairie tournament in Illinois I was given an award for sportsmanship/skill from an opposing team from Georgia. This weekend (6/30-7/1) I am heading to Indiana for the NXT MidAmerica Invitational, and to Illinois (7/27-7/29) for the Indian Prairie Showdown.
I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field, and I know what it takes to be a well rounded student athlete. I have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills. In addition to working hard in and out of the classroom, serving my community is a huge part of my life. When I'm not on the field or working my job as a nursing assistant (CNA) I volunteer for Vacation Bible School, Feed My Starving Children, Operation Christmas Child, and I went on a mission trip to Orange Mound, Tennessee to help build and repair homes. I hope to attend a college that revolves around service so I can continue this work after high school and throughout the rest of my life. I believe I would make a great player at the collegiate level because I'm a team player (yet I know when to be aggressive and take the ball to the goal), I'm coachable, dedicated, highly motivated, love the game, and enjoy lots of competition. It is my goal to be able to play for a Christian based, service oriented, highly competitive college that offers a strong nursing program as well. I am deeply rooted in my faith and attending a college that not only encourages that, but strengthens my faith is extremely important to me.
