Koya Maniss '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Koya Maniss. I am originally from Fairbanks, Alaska; I moved to Bayfield, Colorado at the end of 2007. Just recently, I moved back to Alaska as I am now living in Anchorage, Alaska. I have been playing soccer since the age of five, I am sixteen now (seventeen in November). When in Fairbanks, I played for FYSA each year to the age of ten. When in Colorado I was on DYSA's '96 girls team (club) from 2008 to the end of 2012. My freshman and sophomore year (Bayfield High School) I played for varsity, I also played JV at times freshman year. During freshman year I encountered a few injuries, a concussion and sprained LCL. With these injuries I was out for quite a while. Although, I did work to get better and on my own time to make sure I was ready to play when given the ok. I am dedicated and motivated on and off the field which was extremely useful when i could not play for the high school season. I am currently a junior at A.J. Dimond High School (first time). I will be trying out come Spring working for varsity. During off season I'll be conditioning and working for a starting spot as an outside midfielder.
