I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old. Even before I was 3, I would watch my brother play and would kick the ball everywhere because I didn't know to use my hands. When I was in third grade, I was invited to play competitive soccer with a team that was 1 - 2 years older than me. I have continued with this team and have always played with and against girls that are anywhere from 1 - 4 years older. Because of this, I have learned to be aggressive, have a high soccer IQ and a high standard of play.
One of my strengths is being a leader. This includes talking on the field, holding my teammates accountable but also listening to them as well. In 2012 I was voted captain. This was quite an accomplishment because I have always been the youngest. As a striker, my right foot is dominant but I also have a strong left foot. In fact, most of my shots at this point are with my left. Speed is also something that helps me break through the defense. Some people even have given me the nick names "Speedy Gonzalez" and "Speed Demon".
I recently attended the Rush Soccer ID camp in Alaska where there were 12 college coaches. The players were anywhere from 14 - 18 years of age. On the last day of camp, the coaches selected 34 players to play in the silver division and 28 players to play in the gold division match. I was chosen to play in the gold division with the D1 coach from NAU. I was also invited to another select game in the summer of 2013 where I was able to play with several players that are now playing in D1 programs.
This past year is my first time being involved with ODP. In January I went to the Region IV Champions Tournament in Arizona. I was selected on the 2000 Region IV Champions Top 18 list.
This fall I will be attending Service High School as a Freshman. I will be in the Seminar Honors Program. Also, I will participate in the Partner's Club working with kids with disabilities. I look forward to continuing my education in college and playing collegiate soccer.
